I am a media and communications professional with over eleven years of experience in digital strategy, leadership, and creative innovation. Passionate about community development and accountable representation, I have led teams, managed impactful projects, and leveraged technology to solve real-world challenges. I am committed to building stronger communities and creating opportunities that improve the lives of residents across our constituency with integrity, transparency, and purpose.
The experiences, values, and relationships that shaped my commitment to public service.
Home is more than where we are born, and like many residents of Ibadan Southwest, I came here, built my life here, raised my dreams here, invested my future here, and fell in love with this community.
Throughout my journey, I have remained actively involved in
community development, civic engagement, and advocacy for vulnerable
members of society, serving as Ibadan South-West Coordinator for
Transform Naija (2022–2024), Team Lead of the Oyo State Labour Party
Strategy & Mobilization Team (2023–Present), and formerly as
Publicity Secretary of the Oyo State Labour Party. These experiences
have strengthened my conviction that true leadership is not about
titles, but about serving people, inspiring participation, and
creating lasting impact.
In the year 2020, I raised public awareness about the severe abuse of a young girl in Ibadan who had suffered repeated physical violence. After bringing the case to public attention and calling on relevant authorities to intervene, the matter was taken up by the appropriate agencies, including the Oyo State SGBV team and the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the Oyo State Police Command. The intervention ultimately led to the rescue of the child and the arrest of her stepfather. This experience reinforced my belief that speaking up, even when it may be easier to look away, can help protect vulnerable people and bring about meaningful change. It also strengthened my commitment to using advocacy and civic action to address issues affecting ordinary people in our communities.
During the 2022–2023 electoral cycle, I led Transform Naija Ibadan
South-West in mobilizing over 350 residents of Ibadan to register
for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), while coordinating
grassroots PVC awareness campaigns that promoted voter education and
increased civic participation. In 2023, as Team Lead of the Oyo LP
Volunteers, I led an outreach to motherless homes across Ibadan
during the Ileya Festival, where our team donated relief packages
and celebrated with children and caregivers, reaffirming our
commitment to compassionate community service.
In 2024, I championed an advocacy campaign highlighting the
deplorable state of the Idi Ayunre Primary Healthcare Centre, the
only public healthcare facility serving thousands of residents
within the community. Through a public letter, media engagement, and
sustained awareness efforts, I called on relevant authorities to
prioritize the renovation and rehabilitation of the facility,
emphasizing the importance of accessible primary healthcare for
communities.
Building on this advocacy, in 2025 I nominated the Idi Ayunre
Primary Healthcare Centre for the MTN Foundation's "What Can We Do
Together" community intervention initiative, seeking support for the
renovation and revitalization of the facility to improve healthcare
access for the community. In the same year, alongside my team and in
collaboration with Active Citizens and the Nigeria First Collective,
we assisted over 200 residents of Ibadan with Permanent Voter Card
(PVC) pre-registration and the replacement of lost or damaged PVCs,
further strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots
level.
I have remained committed to empowering communities through civic
engagement, public advocacy, and volunteer service. From standing up
for a vulnerable child, to mobilizing citizens to participate in
democracy, advocating for better healthcare, and supporting
communities in need, my journey has been driven by a simple
conviction that meaningful leadership is measured not by the titles we
hold, but by the lives we touch, the problems we help solve, and the
opportunities we create for others.
Seeing the gap between what our communities deserve and what they receive, I felt a deep conviction to step forward. Not for personal gain, but because every resident deserves representation that listens, acts, and remains accountable.
Today, I stand ready to serve, not as a politician, but as a neighbor, a listener, and a partner in progress. Our best days are ahead of us if we work together.
These are the principles that guide every decision I will make as your representative.
I will work with residents, government agencies, community leaders, and development partners to support practical infrastructure and community improvement initiatives that make our neighborhoods safer, cleaner, more accessible, and better connected.
I will support initiatives that connect young people, entrepreneurs, creatives, traders, and artisans to the skills, networks, opportunities, and resources they need to grow, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to our local economy.
I will support community-driven safety initiatives that strengthen collaboration between residents and security stakeholders, while creating opportunities to engage young people positively and discourage involvement in cultism, violence, and other social vices.
I will prioritize strengthening public education in our constituency by supporting initiatives that expand learning opportunities, encourage student leadership, improve school facilities, and better prepare our students for the future.
I will establish a Constituency Help Desk where residents can easily report local issues, share concerns, and seek assistance. Whether it is drainage problems, waste management, harassment, extortion, poor street lighting, or challenges affecting our schools and communities, the goal is to create a direct channel between residents and responsive representation.
I will support initiatives that bring residents together, strengthen community bonds, celebrate local achievements, and create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and civic engagement across our constituency.
I will advocate for policies and stakeholder engagement that promote fair housing practices, protect tenants from exploitative charges, and improve access to safe and affordable housing opportunities.
I will advocate for better healthcare facilities and services in our communities.
